Priority Data was founded in 1979 by Marcie Flynn and Paul Pettinger in Omaha, Nebraska and started with providing accounting services to insurance agencies. By 1982, Priority Data was building rating software for insurance agencies and carriers as well as providing data entry services of all kinds.
In 1998, Dave Mellor and Dewayne Docken were each hired at Priority Data and began offering online rating software. By 2000, they were fully integrating Choicepoint data in real time.
From 2004-2009, Priority Data went through some ownership changes, with Dave and Dewayne ultimately purchasing Priority Data and uniting the software and data entry departments under one roof and returning Priority Data to its Midwestern roots in Omaha. From 2010 until 2019, Priority Data specialized in providing data entry, business process outsourcing, and quality software solutions for small and medium-sized insurance companies.
In late 2019, Priority Data went though another business change as our software division was acquired by IMT Computer Services allowing Dewayne Docken to take over the data entry division.
